Holy creepy book. I had never heard of this book until it basically exploded when the movie based on the book premiered on Netflix. I broke my own rules and watched the movie before I read the book (I know, bad me) which I really shouldn’t have done because the book was so much better than the movie. It was almost like reading the Harry Potter books and then watching the movies and being so disappointed because they left out so many details. Also in the movie scenes were completely moved around so it was almost a little confusing reading the book because it wasn’t in the same order.

If you like apocalypse type, end of the world books this one is definitely for you. The things these people had to see and do just to stay alive is insane and you will sit there praying it never actually happens to you. It was so off the wall and the insanity of some of the characters added so much to this. I almost did feel like I was reading something by Hitchcock and I enjoyed it so much.
