My first book by this author and wow, it did not disappoint. I was drawn in immediately by the main character who was battling so many demons after her sister disappeared. I felt bad for her for probably 80% of the book. You’ll understand why I stopped feeling bad for her after you read this.

Wow, this was intense and immediately gripped me from the beginning. It was so fast-paced I flew through and couldn’t take my eyes off the pages. I loved all of the characters and the plot twists were great. This dealt with some pretty heavy topics but it was almost done in a nice way if

The cover is what originally drew me to this book, I’m a sucker for florals and anyone with tattoos. I just wish I had enjoyed the story more, the female main character was insufferable to me at times and parts of the story felt like they were dragging. I did enjoy the small town vibes

4 Stars Wow, this book was intense. Megan Goldin’s other books have been kind of hit or miss for me but this was definitely a hit. I don’t think a thriller has freaked me out as much as this one did, the writing on her arms and hands and the memory loss got to me.

I’m so sad to say I didn’t enjoy this book as much as their other books. The writing felt almost completely different in this one, especially compared to Dowry (don’t come for me for saying that). I wanted a lot more of the magic system and their powers and I felt like they weren’t touched
