While I have enjoyed other books by this author I didn’t enjoy this as much. The writing felt extremely cringey and downright gross at times and while I liked the female main character in the beginning, I quickly got tired of her. I really enjoyed the spooky elements and the big twist at the end was surprising. I almost wish like 70% of the romance was cut out of this, I feel like I might have enjoyed it more.
