4 out of 5 stars
This was my first novel by Christina Lauren as I’m not normally a romance genre kind of girl but I found myself actually surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. It was very light hearted and freaking hilarious at times.
This book is about Millie who has always been one of the guys and as a female serial killer expert is known for spouting out some gruesome facts on occasion. With her four best guy friends and fellow professors being as permanently single as she is they all start worrying about dates to take to what should have been a normal work function that turned into a black tie event. They all decide to try their hands at online dating and after numerous unwanted dick pics Millie decides to open a more anonymous account and is matched with the last person she expected, one of her fellow professors and best friend. Posing under a different name they start an online relationship and Millie starts to question her feelings towards him, especially after a couple of half night stands.
I loved the writing style of Christina Lauren and I now understand why her books are such a big hit. They’re so cute and you honestly just feel happy when you read them. I loved how you got to see both main characters points of views throughout the book and how they really felt for each other, even when they were voicing their opinions to each other. I read this book in about 48 hours and I honestly wish it was longer and didn’t have to end. Fingers crossed that this one could potentially be turned into a series.
