2 out of 5 stars
Thank you so much to St. Martins Press and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy in exchange for my honest review.
I’ve never read anything by Michelle Adams and this one was a huge flop for me. I did not like this book at all, it didn’t hold my attention and I didn’t like any of the characters. I’m only giving it 2 stars because I made it through the whole book but I really wanted to give it 1 star.
This book is about Chloe who after a horrible car accident is left with no memory and due to her extreme injuries moves back in with her parents and her sister. Her dad begins trying to help her piece together her life and help her recover her memories. Then when Chloe starts remembering bits and pieces of her past life that contradict what her family has been telling her she doesn’t know what to believe, is her mind creating things that didn’t happen or has everything her family told her a lie?
I honestly could not stand Chloe the whole book and then it got to the ending and I really really didn’t like her. I’m not going to give away any spoilers but I couldn’t believe what she did and then she ended up with the happily ever after. And please don’t even get me started on her mom, dad, and sister. What they did to Chloe was beyond wrong and I would be livid if my family had done it to me. Don’t get me wrong, I have no good feelings towards Chloe and honestly feel like she got what she deserved but holy moly what a screwed up family.
Thank you again to St. Martins Press and NetGalley for the copy of this book. I wish I could say I liked it but I really didn’t sadly.
