Going into this book I wasn’t expecting to bawl my eyes out so much or to be adding this books to my favorites of all time list. The writing style was amazing and I was hooked from the very beginning, I immediately fell in love with Matilda’s character. I love bookish books and this epitomized bookish. I also love books that include letters from deceased partners, it’s a guaranteed tear jerker every time. But my absolute favorite thing about this book (besides Alfie of course) was reading Matilda’s journey through grief and her finding herself and taking chances all thanks to her amazing husband. I laughed, I cried, I smiled until my cheeks hurt, this was such an amazing book.
