I swear I would read this author’s grocery list given the chance, everything she writes is so dang good. I love any book that’s based in Louisiana and coupled with her fantastic writing style I had a blast reading this. It read insanely fast, I flew through in just a couple of hours. It was action-packed, gripping, and even spooky at times. I can’t lie though, I did have a little chuckle picturing Lila as the little boy from the gas station in Cabin Fever, IYKYK. The twists completely took me by surprise as this book had me making so many predictions that were completely wrong. I highly, highly recommend anything this author writes.
