Wow, I was not expecting this book to be as deep as it was or to hit me in my feels but I really, really enjoyed this. While I definitely didn’t always love the characters, especially Emerson and her mom, I can appreciate why the characters were written the way they were. I loved everyone’s personal growth and the journeys they all had to go on to get there. The writing style was beautiful and flowed really nicely and I loved the fantastical elements. I’m very excited to read more by this author.
