I think I set my expectations way to high with this book whether it was from the gorgeous cover or the premise but it let me down. I was really into the story at the beginning and was liking the writing but then I found myself growing bored. I wish the story had focused less on the romance between the two characters and some more exciting things had happened. It didn’t start to get good until the very end which was annoying but even then it felt very anticlimactic. I will be picking up the second book in hopes that it’s better.
